Ticonderoga Publications is thoroughly thrilled to announce the signing of Ian McHugh’s debut collection, tentatively titled Angel Dust.
Angel Dust is scheduled for publication in mid-late 2014.
The contents are yet to be finalised, and may include the Aurealis Award-nominated and Writers of the Future winning “Bitter Dreams”, Aurealis Award-winning "Once a Month, on a Sunday", the award-nominated “Interloper”, acclaimed pieces “Red Dirt”, "The Wishwriter's Wife", and "Grace", and title story “Angel Dust” in addition to a number of original stories.
"Over the last 5 years, the number of professional overseas sales has made Ian McHugh one of the most exciting writers to watch,” Ticonderoga Editor Russell B Farr said.
"His work seamlessly skips around the genre, so it will be fascinating to build this book," Russell B Farr added.
Ian McHugh is a 2006 graduate of the Clarion West writers’ workshop. His first success as a speculative fiction writer was winning the short story contest at the 2004 Australian national SF convention. Since then he has sold stories to professional and semi-pro magazines, webzines, and anthologies in Australia and internationally. His stories have won grand prize in the Writers of the Future contest, been shortlisted four times at Australia’s Aurealis Awards (winning Best Fantasy Short Story in 2010) and appeared in the Locus annual Recommended Reading List.

Angel Dust is scheduled for publication in 2014. The collection will be available in limited edition hardcover, hardcover and trade editions.
