TP’s Worldcon Report part 1
Without going into exact figures, Ticonderoga Publications enjoyed several days of solidly brisk trading at last weekend’s worldcon, held in Melbourne.
We launched two new titles, Kaaron Warren’s Dead Sea Fruit and Angela Slatter’s The Girl With No Hands and other stories, and sold about 30 copies of each at the launch. The launch was fantastic, and all credit should go to Kaaron, Angela, Lisa L. Hannett, for signing their fingers to the bone, and Liz Grzyb, who sat cooly behind the cashbos as the hordes waved money and cards before her.
A big thank you to everyone who attended the launch, it was heartening to see such a strong turn out to support two incredibly talented writers.
Over the weekend, both titles sold out of available stock at the table, and we’re all pretty chuffed at this. While there are still many copies of each left to sell, it was great to be shipping home a few less boxes than we arrived with.
